NewsGeorge Harrison to receive star on Hollywood Walk of FameGeorge Harrison will receive a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. The late Beatle will be honoured at a 2008 induction ceremony, along with Christina Aguilera and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who will also receive stars in their names. Hollywood's honourary mayor, Johnny Grant, said that these artists were chosen "for a combination of professional achievement and community involvement." The Hollywood Walk of Fame runs along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles and is embedded with the names of more than 2,000 celebrities recognised by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to the entertainment industry. Geri daughter was a 'beautiful accident' Geri Halliwell says her daughter was a "beautiful accident". The Spice Girl - who has a 17-month-old daughter, Bluebell Madonna, with former lover, screenwriter Sacha Gervasi - believes motherhood has been a blessing and given her the motivation to be the best she can be. Geri said: "So many women today are single parents, I don't feel different. I think you get out of life what you put into it and Bluebell was a beautiful accident. I feel blessed to have her. "I'm learning every day as a mother. I'm learning that she's like a flower that thrives when it gets sunlight, and the sunlight is confidence, and I feel that when I'm confident it gives her self-esteem. And that gives me motivation to go on and be the best." Geri, 35, also revealed becoming a parent has made her a more compassionate person. She added to Britain's Guardian newspaper: "At first I was a single, young Bridget Jones kind of woman. I was operating in a selfish world. Now I'm a mother my compassion has expanded." The singer - who is currently preparing for the Spice Girls' comeback world tour which kicks off on December 2 in Vancouver, Canada - would love another child and is even looking into the possibility of adopting. Geri said: "I'm open about it and I'm educating myself at the moment." |
